[attr="class","tem-back"]Some call Los Angeles the heart of California. But it's soul? That title belongs to the foggy city of San Francisco. Diversity is an overstatement when it comes to the City by the Bay, as not only several races dominate the mixing pot of the city but different species as well.
A city built by blood, sweat, and gold, San Francisco is a metropolis for those who are unknown, unbound, and unwanted. "City by the Bay", "Fog City", "The Paris of the West". San Francisco is known by many names given to them by tourists who only wish to see it's beauty and not its curse. Locals see their city for what it truly is: a resting place for the wicked and a prison for the damned.
Even the most beautiful cities have their dark secrets, and San Fransisco is no exception. Not only does the citys history hold dark and bloody secrets, but its most popular tourist attraction, Alcatraz Island, harbors its fair share of darkness as well.
Supernatural criminals are stripped of their physical possessions and sent to the "Island of the Damned". A barrier separating our world from theirs--one of pain and torment--protects us from the worlds most evil and powerful villains. Only its tourists perceive the islands strange noises, black shadows, and cold spots to be a reminder of the danger that used to reside within its abandoned halls--spirits unable to pass on from violent deaths--when in truth the strange occurrences are the prisoners locked away, fighting to break free from their curse bound cells. Many visit the island in hopes of catching sight of one its many infamous human ghosts, only to come out witnessing a glimpse of something they could never truly understand.
After 200 years of captivity, the barrier has been weakened. Prisoners who manage to slip through are denied access to their original bodies, many of which have been sealed away or destroyed, and are forced to take one for themselves. While the locals have remained untouched by their supernatural neighbors for years due to a treaty, many of the escaped souls havent seen the city in centuries or never at all, making anyone--tourist or local--"fair game".
News of the outbreak has yet to reach the mainland. With the current Warden refusing to let the Tribunal know of his mistake, many locals have started to suspect the supernatural community is to blame for the disappearance of loved ones, making alliances fickle and paranoia rising.
Missing person cases have escalated, crime is now at an all time high, and for the first time in centuries magic has a chance at disappearing once and for all.
Supernatural criminals are stripped of their body and sent to Alcatraz. Now that the barrier has been weakened, prisoners without the knowledge of their bodies location, they're forced to take one for themselves. People are disappearing, crime has sky rocketed and magic is becoming weaker than ever.
